| Qvortrup Medical A/S was founded in 1996 by Klaus Qvortrup as a specialised manufacturer in the Qvortrup Group. The company manufactures mainly injection moulded plastic products for the health care sector. The foundation was built in 1993 when the first medical product was patented by Qvortrup Plastic Engineering. Over 90% of the production is for export all over the world. The company is located in Denmark just outside Copenhagen. | At Qvortrup Medical we work closely with our customers and users to develop products which satisfy the needs of elderly and handicapped people. We work closely together with the most competent industrial designers, focusing all the time on ergonomic and user friendly design to make life easier and safer for the user. Our capabilities include engineering, tool-building, injection moulding and decorating. |

| The company owns among other things the product HIPS¨ Hip Protection System. The most flexible and cost effective system on the market. HIPS holds a world wide patent. HIPS hip protectors can reduce the risk of a hip fracture considerably. A new pill dispenser line is being introduced in the year 2000. Other new products are also being developed, mainly in respond to the demand for better and more competitive products, and to maintain a strong position in the durable medical equipment market. All products are tested, certified and CE-marked to ensure the highest quality. | The products are sold through a network of distributors all over the world. A close contact between the distributor and their customers ensure valuble feedback to constantly improve the products. To reach the users, the products are sold to nursing homes, home care, hospitals and retail outlets. |
